Mitsutada was not suited for blizzards. He was only vaguely suited for snow monsters, but honestly he would take the Retrogrades over this any day. At least Japanese history was generally warmer.

Mitsutada's typical armor was not exactly suited for this sort of situation, either. In fact, he had bundled up in a heavy parka, bright blue mittens (a present from the Saniwa), a flannel ear-flapped cap, and big old boots.

He'd strapped his shoulder armor to the outside of the parka. Because he could.

When it came to a nastier snow creature that was trundling up to the house, Mitsutada did his usual thing, even if sword cuts weren't exactly the most effective way of dealing with these creatures. He grew frustrated, and went all out for a powerful attack, as he sometimes does.

The problem being that such an attack has the side effects of tearing most of his clothes off.

He ran back inside quite quickly, howling something along the lines of "I've made a huge mistake" in Japanese.

The problem with promising gremlins hot chocolate once was that they apparently thought they could keep coming to ask for it. And pests or not, Miguel felt bad for them being out in this, so he was still making the stuff and giving it to any of them that showed up.

"Just for the storm!" he told them sternly, "then you're on your own. Just -"

He blinked as Mitsutada ran past. "Huh?"

Miguel and the gremlins looked at each other. The gremlins shrugged and ran off with their thermos of hot chocolate.

Miguel banked the fire on his little camp stove, then went to look for Mitsutada - and found a roaring snowmonster coming in off the porch.

"Whoa!" He shot webbing at its arms and jumped to shove it back out the door. "No snow in the house!"

"Little busy!" This thing wasn't exactly fast, but it was hard to do much damage to snow, and Miguel wasn't even going to try biting it. "Get the hot milk off the stove!"

Hopefully the gremlins would understand.

Miguel growled, then shoved as hard as he could to get the thing back before diving to the kitchen for the milk and coming back out to throw it on the monster.

It was just inside the door when it got a face full of hot milk and its head started melting.

Miguel watched it in mixed fascination and disgust as it collapsed.

"Closing the door," Miguel answered. "Which makes this your mess," he declared of the pile of half-melted snow. "I'm going to heat up more milk before the gremlins riot."
