Shokudaikiri Mitsutada

"What do you mean, a special expedition?" Mitsutada said, taken completely by surprise. "And alone?" That was the part that was getting to him. Expeditions were usually the job of a full six-person squad. To go alone seemed unnecessarily dangerous, even if they typically never saw combat.

"It's a very different sort of expedition," Hasebe reassured his friend, putting a hand on Mitsutada's shoulder. "The Saniwa has learned of a place outside of our timeline that could be a source of many things we need to defeat the Revisionist Army."

"I'm really not that good at scouting," Mitsutada said, but he straightened his shoulders and nodded. "But if this is a task the Saniwa has asked of me, I shall undertake it."

"I didn't expect anything less of you," Hasebe replied, giving Mitsutada's shoulder a little squeeze. "There are special instructions for you." He handed over a sealed letter, which Mitsutada took with a curious look. "You better get packing."

Mitsutada let out a bit of a surprised yelp. "Packing?!"
